Taking the plunge! Alessandra Ambrosio unveils $2.5million Victoria's Secret bra in glamorous gold gown

She's waited 11 years to model the Victoria's Secret $2.5million Fantasy Bra.
And Alessandra Ambrosio finally got her moment on Thursday as she unveiled the bejewelled garment in New York City.
The Brazilian model epitomised sexy sophistication as she greeted photographers at the lingerie giant's Herald Square store.

The 31-year-old beauty wore a plunging gold dress, paired with dazzling diamond earrings and bracelets.
Alessandra's chesnut hair was side swept and curled, and with a lash of red lipstick her look was a perfect tribute to vintage Hollywood glamour.

 

The Floral Fantasy Bra Gift Set, designed exclusively for Victoria’s Secret by New Jersey-based London Jewelers, features a Very Sexy push-up bra studded with amethysts, sapphires and rubies, with a floral 20-carat diamond centrepiece.
It is worn with a delicate belt, strung across the midriff, which sparkles with a further 5,200 precious stones.

The model got her chance to model the famous push-up years after she began walking in the annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
She follows in the footsteps of Miranda Kerr, Gisele Bundchen and Heidi Klum as the model plucked this year to model the brand's newest multi-million dollar bra.
Alessandra told Gossip Center: 'I feel so honored to be wearing the Floral Fantasy Bra by London Jewelers.
'It feels like incredible. I feel really beautiful and I can't wait to wear it in the victoria's Secret Fashion Show on December 4.'

She also said it's also surprisingly comfortable to wear.
'It actually it is! It's built on the Very Sexy Push Up Bra, that gives you beautiful cleavage, so it's comfortable, it has the extra 5,200 precious gems on it,' Alessandra insisted.
While she has been waiting for years to get the call, it came at a bitter-sweet moment, however.
Alessandra recently revealed to People.com she had given birth to her son Noah three weeks before she got the news in late May - putting her under immense pressure to snap back into shape.

She remembers she was breastfeeding when she got the news.
'I just wanted to scream,' she said. 'But I won’t lie, I was really worried. I was in total mother mode.'
The mother-of-two, who is married to businessman Jamie Mazur, revealed that she had to seek permission from her doctor before she started working out again.
Once she had the go-ahead, she began with yoga and walking for the first two months, later adding spin classes and Pilates to the mix.

Diet was also key: fresh green juices, kale salads and fish throughout making up the most of her meal plans.
Treats were not completely off the menu though: 'My daughter [Anya, four] loves cupcakes so we’ll share… but only sometimes!' she said.
With her body back in shape, Alessandra said she's now feeling 'pretty calm' about returning to the catwalk.
'I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time,' she said.
