With no shortage of cash in the bank and plenty of awards up his sleeve, Matthew Broderick has earned the privilege of being selective when it comes to his work projects, leaving himself plenty of time to spend with his wife and three children.
The 50-year-old actor made the most of his time off yesterday, taking his son James for a tandem bike ride in the West Village.
Father and son were seen riding the novel yellow bicycle in New York City wearing matching bicycle helmets.

Nine-year-old James also wore jeans, paired with a black T-shirt with a picture of a bull on the front.
James is Broderick's son with his actress wife Sarah Jessica Parker. The high-profile couple also have three-year-old twin daughters, Marion and Tabitha.

Broderick hit the peak of his celebrity with the iconic 1986 hit comedy Ferris Bueller's Day off when he was just 24.
The talented actor has since appeared in dozens of films, but his true passion is the theatre.
He most recently appeared on Broadway in a play called Nice Work if You Can Get It, a musical which ran in April and March to mixed reviews.
Broderick's biggest Broadway hits have included The Producers. He won two coveted Tony Awards for the plays Brighton Beach Memoirs and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
Broderick has lent his voice to the September 3 episode of Cartoon Network's Adventure Time, where he will play a character called The Dream Warrior.
Broderick has said he was motivated to take the project because the show is a favourite of his son James.
